Spotify’s COVID-19 Music Relief Enlists New Partners

Continuing in its efforts to support artists and the creative community during the coronavirus pandemic, Spotify has enlisted new partners. The list of partner orgs now includes MusiCares, Music Health Alliance, The Preservation Hall Foundation, and The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation and is up to 18 groups worldwide.

The Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief project recommends organizations offering relief to those in need in the music industry. Spotify will match each contribution made to these various organizations, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10 million.

This weekend, a handful of livestreams will donate proceeds to COVID-19 Music Relief partners, including the Colorado Gives Back festival now, the Grateful Dead archival performance tonight, Dead & Company May 9, Sarah Brightman May 9 and Pickathon daily.
