Pollstar Live! One-on-One Interview With Drive-By Truckers’ Patterson Hood

Drive-By Truckers guitarist/vocalist Patterson Hood took part in a Pollstar Live! One-On-One livestream interview with OVG President of Media & Conferences Ray Waddell May 14. During the session, the two swapped stories and talked about the effects of COVID-19.

Drive-By Truckers singer and guitarist Patterson Hood will appear in conversation with Ray Waddell, president of Oak View Group’s Media and Conferences division, as part of Pollstar’s ongoing series of livestreaming video content on May 14.

Set to broadcast at 4 p.m. ET via Pollstar‘s Facebook, the wide-ranging interview will touch on the band’s latest studio album The Unraveling, released earlier this year; “Quarantine Together,” the new Drive-By Truckers song written and recorded during this period of social isolation; the impact of the current crisis on DBT’s beloved live shows; and many other topics.

Like many artists, the coronavirus crisis forced Drive-By Truckers to reschedule its spring tour, which included stops at San Francisco’s Fillmore, Chicago’s Vic Theatre, Dallas’ Granada Theatre and several others. Most dates have been rescheduled for August and September.

Incidentally, Hood performed his first-ever livestreamed show on Wednesday night, while Truckers singer and guitarist Mike Cooley will do the same Friday night at 8 p.m. ET. Both performances cost $15 and were hosted on noonchorus.com.

The most recent Pollstar Boxoffice report for the band is a sold-out, two-night stand at 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., where the band moved 2,277 tickets ad grossed $79,695. Another recent touring highlight for the band was its six-night run at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl, which took place from June 20 to June 29, 2019, sold 2,274 tickets and grossed $68,315.
