Live Nation is bringing its ‘Crew Nation Presents…’ concert series to Spain this summer.

Live Nation has announced the ‘Crew Nation Presents…’ concert series in the Spanish capital of Madrid, in collaboration with the city’s venue La Riviera.
The goal is to “raise funds and give visibility to the artists’ technicians, musicians and touring staff affected by the intermission in live entertainment we’ve seen this year,” according to the announcement.
Artists and their teams worldwide have lost most of their planned income for 2020. €1 per ticket will be a donation to Crew Nation, Live Nation’s worldwide relief fund for live music crews.
“All remaining proceeds from the shows will be delivered to the artists for distribution among their technicians, tour staff, musicians and collaborators in the way that each artist determines,” the announcement continues.
La Riviera has a capacity of 2,500, but the ‘Crew Nation Presents…’ concerts will take place at reduced capacity in line with government regulations.
Concerts will take place between July 15 and September 15, and will feature “renowned local artists.” So far, El Kanka, ISEO, Izal, Izaro, Miss Caffeina, Mr. Kilombo, Muchachito, Rayden, Sex Museum, Sticky M.A., Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, Tu Otra Bonita, Varry Brava and Xoel López.
Back in March, Live Nation announced a commitment of $10 million to the newly created Crew Nation relief fund to benefit crew members hit especially hard by the ongoing shutdown of live shows by the coronavirus pandemic.
The company committed $5 million upfront and pledged to match the next $5 million donated by artists, fans and employees dollar for dollar.
Crew Nation is being administered by  House of Blues Music Forward Foundation, a charitable 501c3 organization, and all donations are tax deductible.
