Funeral Services Announced For Charlie Daniels; Travis Tritt, Vince Gill & More To Perform

The life of country music and Southern rock legend Charlie Daniels will be memorialized at a public service on Friday, July 10, with performances by Travis Tritt, Vince Gill, Gretchen Wilson and Trace Adkins. 
Daniels – who was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Musicians Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry – died early July 6 of a hemorrhagic stroke at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tenn.  He was 83.
The funeral takes place at World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tenn., starting at 11 a.m. CT, with a service led by SiriusXM’s Storme Warren and pastor Allen Jackson. A 
A public visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. CT at Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet, Tenn. 
An announcement notes that funeral arrangements may be sent to the Sellars Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memorial to The Journey Home Project, a non-profit that assists other nonprofits in supporting veterans with rehabilitation, reintegration and opportunities as they transition to civilian life. Daniels founded the Journey Home Project in 2014 with his manager, David Corlew. Donations can be made online via thejourneyhomeproject.org or by mail at 17060 Central Pike, Lebanon, TN 37090. 
Attendees at the visitation service at funeral service are encouraged to wear masks because of COVID-19.
