Brandi Carlile is raising a glass today in celebration of the release of her XOBC Cellars’ latest wine, XO Sparkling Rosé, and the announcement of the Oct. 29 livestream event “Happy Hour: Women In Wine.”
Live Nation’s Women Nation president Ali Harnell is hosting the livestream, which will feature a conversation with Carlile and the XOBC team as well as fellow female winemakers Brenae Royal, Nicole Hitchcock and The McBride Sisters.
The special will take place Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT on Live Nation’s recently launched virtual music hub, Live From Home, and on LN’s Facebook page.
Carlile founded XOBC with her wife, Catherine, and their friends Amy and Jeri Andrews, as a business built with a philanthropic mindset. As the company’s website proclaims: “Because raising a glass can make a difference, too.” A portion of all proceeds supports the singer/songwriter’s Looking Out Foundation, which is dedicated to “empowering those without a voice.” The organization, which was co-founded in 2008 by Tim and Phil Hanseroth, has raised over $3 million benefiting Children In Conflict U.S./War Child U.K., Fund Racial Justice, The If Project and more.
All of the XOBC Cellars wines are made in Washington State with winemaker Sean Boyd. XO Sparkling Rosé is the first to be made available outside of XOBC Cellar’s Collector wine club and it will be featured on the “Happy Hour: Women In Wine” special.
