Disco Biscuits Announce 10-Show East Coast Drive-In Tour

Four drive-ins will host The Disco Biscuits this month for a total of 10 concerts.

The Disco Biscuits announced a 10-show October drive-in tour Wednesday that will hit four venues across Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York.

The jaunt begins with four dates on Cape Cod at the Yarmouth Drive-In in Yarmouth, Mass., on Oct. 16-19. Afterward, the Disco Biscuits will head to Scranton, Penn., for two dates (Oct. 23-24) at the Montage Mountain, then Frederick, Md., for an Oct. 25 date at Showtime At The Drive-In.

The stint concludes with three dates at LaFayette Apple Festival Grounds in LaFayette, N.Y., just south of Syracuse, Oct. 29-31.

The drive-in shows are just the latest way the Philly jam band has adapted to the times during the pandemic. In the spring, the group streamed archival performances weekly with its “You Got I, I Got You Virtual Tour 2020,” and in June it staged “The Disco Biscuits Take You Out To The Ball Game,” a livestreamed show from Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park that benefitted the PLUS1 For Black Lives Fund.

Prior to the live industry’s shutdown, some of the Disco Biscuits’ recent box office highlights included a four-night stand at The Fillmore Philadelphia, where the group sold 7,411 tickets and grossed $348,699 from Dec. 28-31, 2018, and a three-night stand at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., where it sold 4,031 tickets and grossed $193,366 from Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2019.
