Mad Zoo Events Set To Host Minecraft Festival Stratosfest Featuring Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten And More

Following the success of recent Minecraft music events – “Mat Zo and Friends, Hospitality: In The Void” and “Mad Zoo: In The Void” – Mad Zoo Events is returning to the video game platform Oct. 23-24 for its next immersive virtual music experience called Stratosfest. 

The event promises to feature “never-before-seen skybound Minecraft realm, live VJ-controlled visuals, and interactive mini-games.” Mad Zoo Events, which is headed up by Grammy-nominated producer Mat Zo, is continue to partner with leading gaming brand MSI GAMING, music loyalty platform Unitea and live event technical solutions company Cucumber Productions on the festival. 
The lineup for Stratosfest includes stars from the EDM world including Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Bluestone, Tritonal,  Gabriel & Dresden,  Darude,  Qrion, and ATTLAS, along with sets from up-and-comers  Olan, Jordin Post, No Mana, and Hellbound. Mat Zo will also share a special set with tracks from his new full-length album, “Illusion of Depth,” which was released Oct. 9th on Anjunabeats and and features a mix of “90’s warehouse techno, jungle, D&B, filter house, and even cinematic rock.”
“We’ve come a long way since our first event back in May,” Zo told Pollstar. “Back then we were controlling everything with levers inside the game, now I can play everything on my midi keyboard. It’s taken a while to prove to people that we’re doing something special. Our lineups have been getting bigger and bigger with each show. 
“I think Minecraft festivals are going to be more common in the future, I honestly think it’s the best platform for virtual events currently, because it’s accessible and relatively easy to bend to the needs of a virtual event. Now we also have streaming tickets for people that don’t want to buy Minecraft, although the experience is so much better first hand.”
