– This year’s ILMC was able to go ahead normally, initial Covid cases had already been reported, but didn’t pose a danger.
Next year, there won’t be a physical get-together of industry pros in London.

The 33rd edition of the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) is going to take place as an exclusively virtual event, March 3-5.

Irving Azoff, legendary manager, music industry exec and co-founder of Oak View Group (OVG), Pollstar’s parent company, is going to be interviewed during ILMC’s traditional “The Late Breakfast Meeting” – as always, hosted by another iconic artists manager, Ed Bicknell.
Both industry veterans are going to discuss Azoff’s remarkable career in music, from managing Eagles and Jon Bon Jovi, to running Ticketmaster, to being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Other confirmed high-profile speakers for ILMC 33 include the other OVG co-founder Tim Leiweke, Bob Lefsetz (Lefsetz Letter), Emma Banks (CAA), Sam Kirby Yoh (UTA), Tony Goldring (WME), Tom Windish (Paradigm) and Phil Bowdery (Live Nation). The first conference sessions will be announced in the coming days.
Usually an invitation-only event, ILMC’s organizers around conference head Greg Parmley decided to open it up to non-members for the first time in 2021.
“It’s important that the whole industry is able to come together at such a pivotal time for the industry’s recovery,” said Parmley, “With that in mind, we’ve decided to open up ILMC to the wider live music family for the first time, ensuring as many delegates are possible are able to exchange ideas and benefit from each other’s expertise.”
The Arthur Awards, which honor the industry’s best, will also take place as an online edition and introduce several new award categories, including Unsung Heroes and Tour of the Decade that will be voted for live on the night.

The Theme: Virtually Live.

The ILMC Production Meeting (IPM) and Green Events & Innovations Conference (GEI) will both precede ILMC on Tuesday, March 2.

The virtual ILMC conference platform will feature hosted networking lounges, speed meetings, virtual exhibition spaces, as well as a series of livestream showcases from emerging artists. The full agenda will be published in January.
ILMC 33 sponsors include Live Nation, Ticketmaster, CTS Eventim, Showsec and Tysers. The fact that ILMC can only take place virtually next year naturally determined the conference theme for 2021, which will be ‘Virtually Live’.
