Livestreaming platform announced the addition of music industry veteran Adam Shore to its team Thursday.

New livestreaming platform Driift, launched in mid-2020, has been one of the sector‘s more prominent successes during the pandemic, promoting and producing online shows by Niall Horan, Andrea Bocelli, Nick Cave, Laura Marling and more.

The company continues to bolster its offering, and announced Thursday the appointment of Adam Shore as U.S. general manager.

Shore comes to Driift from Red Bull and Red Bull Music Academy, where he served as Head of Global Programming (Music) for eight years and worked with artists from Brian Eno to Rosalía and Megan Thee Stallion.

Shore’s resume also includes co-founding Vice Records, where he signed Bloc Party, Justice, Chromeo and more;  managing Best Coast and Jay Reatard; and seven years at TVT Records.

“We are delighted to welcome Adam to the team,” said ATC Management’s Ric Salmon, who co-founded Driift with ATC colleague Brian Message earlier this year, in a statement. “This is a key hire for Driift and an indication of our confidence that unique, high-quality livestream shows are here to stay. As we look to increase Driift’s presence in North America, Adam’s experience and track record of working with artists to create bespoke and innovative live productions will be truly invaluable.”

“In a little over six months, Ric and Brian have put together an incredible team and built a highly-collaborative artist-friendly business,” Shore shared in a statement. “Driift is already a byword for quality and innovation, and I look forward to helping US artists realise the potential of this new and exciting art form. We have big plans for 2021.”

Since June, Driift has sold more than 400,000 tickets across more than 150 territories, including 70,000 tickets for Andrea Bocelli’s Dec. 12 livestreamed performance from the Teatro Regio di Parma opera house in Parma, Italy, which was Driift’s first production staged outside of the U.K.

Driift will present Courtney Barnett live from Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building on Dec. 17.
