Veteran Agents Ron Kaplan, Garry Buck And Alex Buck Join ICM Partners
ICM Partners continues to make strategic moves to kick off 2021 with the addition of music agents Ron Kaplan, Garry Buck and Alex Buck, who join the company after runs with Paradigm Talent Agency and Monterey International. Effective immediately, the announcement was made today by Rob Prinz, ICM Partners’ worldwide head of concerts.
“I have known Ron and Garry as fierce competitors, talented and professional agents for decades,” Prinz said in a statement to Pollstar. “We are thrilled to welcome them and their tremendous clients to the ICM family.”
Among the artists joining them at ICM are Buddy Guy, Corinne Bailey Rae, Eric Johnson, Jimmie Vaughan, Jonny Lang, Joss Stone, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Los Lonely Boys, Macy Gray, Richard Marks, Robert Daltry, Ry Cooder, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Samantha Fish, Tower of Power and Van Morrison and many others.
“It was Garry’s and my goal to find a collaborative team – who we could work closely with to provide our touring clients multi-faceted opportunities across all aspects of talent (TV, movies, soundtrack, corporate, branding) – while preserving our 30-plus year business partnership,” Kaplan said. “We are so fortunate to find it at ICM.”
Kaplan and Garry Buck got their starts at Chicago’s Prestige talent agency, which later became American Famous Talent, in the mid-1980s before co-founding Monterey International in 1994. Alex Buck got his start more than a decade ago at Monterey International, and transitioned into the Fairs & Festivals Department after it was acquired by Paradigm.
The additions are just the latest in a series of agent and agency signings by ICM’s Music Division in the last year, including seven agents and a deal with UK-based Primary Talent International.
