Wasserman Music Partners With Twitch On Indie Music Channel

Wasserman Music and Twitch are launching a new indie music channel called “There is Light,” kicking things off with a performance from Perfume Genius tonight at 5 p.m. PT from the Lodge Room in Los Angeles.

The free channel will be dedicated to indie music discovery and showcasing indie concerts and will be available at Twitch.tv/thereislight. There are 20 confirmed performers to kick the channel off, including Best Coast, Cautious Clay, Creeper, Jade Bird, JPEGMAFIA, Porches, and more. 
All “There is Light” concerts will be Tuesdays at 5 p.m. PT, with a 30 minute pre-show featuring an opener, followed by the headliner. After the performance there will be a Q&A between artists and fans through Twitch’s chat. A full initial schedule of “There is Light” shows is listed below.

Partners for the channel include BrooklynVegan for the U.S. and DIY Magazine in the U.K.

In person audiences are currently not planned for the concert series, but sources told Pollstar this may be subject to change as COVID restrictions change throughout the country.
Wasserman music is the new division of Wasserman incorporating Paradigm’s North American Music Assets, which it recently finished acquiring for an undisclosed amount.
