Foo Fighters Announce Six Outdoor Summer Shows As First Of 26th Anniversary Tour
Foo Fighters have confirmed they won’t be limited to festival appearances in 2021, announcing six outdoor shows for late July and early August with “a crapload more” to come.
The summer dates — taking in midwestern cities including Cincinnati, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Bonner Springs, Oklahoma City and Albuquerque — are the first Foo Fighters headlining shows announced since the February release of the band’s Medicine At Midnight, with tickets going on sale June 4 at 10 a.m. local time.
The announcement is titled as the “First U.S. Dates Of 26th Anniversary Tour,” which suggests indeed a crapload more to be announced, making up for a lost 25th anniversary tour that was sidelined due to COVID-19. The tour was to see the band travel by fan to arenas in secondary markets such as Green Bay, Knoxville, Hamilton, and others in spring 2020.
Also for 2021, the band has major festival appearances at Lollapalooza in Chicago, BottleRock Napa Valley in Northern California and Bonnaroo in Tennessee, making for a variety of markets and configurations for one of rock’s most popular bands.
