In partnership with Insomniac, electronic artist Kaskade is set to kick off SoFi Stadium’s concert season with his own headlining show at the 70,000-capacity Los Angeles-area NFL stadium July 17, the artist’s first SoCal appearance of 2021 and sure to be his largest headlining performance of 2021.

The announcement says Insomniac, known as producer of Las Vegas’ mammoth Electric Daisy Carnival festival, have teamed up with Kaskade and SoFi Stadium to celebrate the remarkable return of live music to Los Angeles and what is said to be the first dance music event to play the stadium, The show promises an immersive audiovisual experience as the largest solo headlining show in LA of the dance music pioneer’s career.
“Every time I play in Los Angeles, it evokes this feeling that is unmatched anywhere else in the world. It’s that sensation of getting into your own bed after being away for too long,,” Kaskade says in the announcement. “it’s heat in the cold and it’s comfort when anxiety has been playing its game. Any show I play in LA is something I keep protected. I make sure that when I do it, I come correct because it’s that meaningful to me. LA is home.
“Coming out of quarantine, I really want to do something special for the west coast massive as well as all my fans who are willing to put the time in to travel. It needs to be just right. There is a legacy I’ve been building here with LACC, Sun Soaked, Staples Center and so many of my other favorite shows. I believe that being one of the first artist’s to introduce SoFi Stadium to the public is a rare and awesome opportunity and this show is going to be a career high for me. I’m excited to share this with my audience and I’m honored to do this in LA, my home.”
With Los Angeles loosening capacity restrictions at major sporting events as of June 15, it’s presumed the Kaskade concert would be full capacity, although at 70,000 capacity would be larger than even most stadium shows. Pollstar has inquired with Insomniac about the capacity or configuration details.
