Ari Emanuel resigned as a member of Live Nation Entertainment’s board of directors, effective June 3, according to a Securities & Exchange Commission filing. With the resignation, he also withdrew his name from the ballot for reelection when stockholders have their annual meeting June 10.
According to the filing, Emanuel’s resignation “was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.”
Live Nation accepted the resignation and stated, “Since joining the Board in 2007, Ari’s input and insights have played a beneficial role as we’ve fostered years of growth at Live Nation. We are deeply appreciative of his contributions to the company and wish him the best of luck in all he does moving forward.”
Emanuel is CEO of Endeavor, the mega-agency formed from the merger of Endeavor Talent Agency, which he founded, and the former William Morris Agency. The company, having canceled an IPO filing in 2019, refiled with the SEC on April 28.
