Who You Gonna Call? Foo Fighters: Fabulous Forum Latest To Set Reopening, July 17 With Dave Grohl & Co.

The Forum

FABULOUS: The Forum, named Pollstar’s Arena Of The Decade June 15 during Pollstar Live!, the Inglewood, Calif., icon reopens with Foo Fighters July 17 after a 16 month-long shutdown.

No sooner had Foo Fighters raised the curtain for 2021 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, the Dave Grohl-fronted quintet announced it would repeat the duties at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., come July 17, when it plays the first full-capacity show at the 17,500-cap venue in more than a year.

Tickets go on sale to the public June 25th at 10 a.m. PDT through Ticketmaster.
The show will mark the Forum’s first concert since March 12, 2020, when 3,009 fans passed through the turnstiles for Latin music superstar Prince Royce, promoted by Cardenas Marketing Network.
If it’s anything like Sunday’s Madison Square Garden gig, fans at the Forum are in for a marathon of greatest hits, special guests and inspired covers. Because in NYC, Foo Fighters played well over three sweaty hours, brought out guest Dave Chappell (who sang to a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep,” briefly transformed into the “Dee Gees” to perform the Bee Gees “You Should Be Dancing,” and brought drummer Chris Shiflett out front to pay homage to the late, great Freddie Mercury on Queen’s “Somebody To Love.”
The reopening of the Fabulous Forum next month will be only the latest reopening post-lockdown gig for the band in the Los Angeles area. It played June 15 at The Canyon, a 1,270-cap club in Agoura in the San Fernando Valley, where 600 fans showed their proof of vaccination and got their faces melted off, which followed Foo Fighters May 2 Vax Live-closing gig at SoFi Stadium, down the road from the Forum in Inglewood.
