AJR Adds 2021 Leg To ‘The OK Orchestra Tour’

Lucky fans in 12 cities won’t have to wait until 2022 to see AJR’s headline tour. The band of brothers has added a run of 2021 gigs ahead of the previously announced itinerary for their April-June trek, “The OK Orchestra Tour.” 

The 12-date 2021 leg kicks off Sept. 7 in Madison, Wis., at Sylvee. Venues on the routing include Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa; Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City; The Palace in Albany, N.Y.; and Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine. The last stop is Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Fla., Oct. 1. 
The brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan are also playing a few festivals this summer including WonderStruck Music Festival in Cleveland and Music Midtown in Atlanta. 
 
AJR is supporting its fourth studio album, OK ORCHESTRA, which was released in March. The album hit No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative and Rock Albums charts, marking their second consecutive album to debut at the top spot on the charts. 

The album features the hit single “Way Less Sad,” which has racked up more than 85 million streams and is spending its 10th week on Billboard’s Hot 100,” as well as No. 2 at Alternative Radio, Top 20 at Pop radio and approaching Top 10 at Adult Pop radio. “Way Less Sad” is featured on Pandora’s Top Spins Chart, Apple Music’s “Songs of the Summer and Today’s Hits” playlists, and Spotify’s “Mood Booster” and “Happy Hits” playlists. 
A fan presale for the new 2021 dates begins July 13 at 10 a.m. ET, followed by a Live Nation presale July 15 at 10 a.m. local time and a venue presale at 10 a.m. local time. The general onsale starts July 16 at 10 a.m. local time. VIP upgrade packages will be available.  
Reports submitted to Pollstar‘s Boxoffice for AJR include a Jan. 20, 2020, show at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., that sold 6,000 tickets and grossed $213,099.
