Ahead of Dave Matthews Band’s 2021 tour kick-off on Friday, the group has announced the addition of two nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden and a new show at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on Nov. 5.

The Nov. 12-13 concerts at MSG mark the band’s first shows at the renowned venue since 2018. The gigs are now set to close out the 2021 summer/fall tour, which was previously scheduled to conclude with two nights at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., Nov. 9-10.
The last time DMB played Madison Square Garden the band sold 31,084 tickets over two nights and grossed more than $2.9 million, according to report submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice.
An online presale for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association will begin Tuesday, July 20 at 9 a.m. EDT for the new shows and close on Monday, 26 at 3 p.m. EDT. A Citi presale for cardmembers begins Wednesday, July 28 at 10 a.m. ET.  The general onsale starts on Friday, July 30 at 10:00 am EDT.
Dave & co. have teamed up with the Nature Conservancy to host a Prizeo campaign with a grand prize of a VIP trip to see DMB at Madison Square Garden, including two concert tickets for each night, a meet-and-greet and photo-op with Dave, an autographed tour poster, roundtrip airfare for you and a guest, and hotel accommodations. A $10 donation or more to The Nature Conservancy via DMB’s The Bama Works Fund will plant five trees and get you a chance to win. The more you donate, the more trees are plants and the more entries you receive. Planting trees help “to restore healthy forests, curb the effects of climate change, provide clean air and fresh drinking water and secure homes for thousands of species of plants and animals.”
Dave Matthews Band was named a UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador in 2019 and last year fully funded a million trees. The band is encouraging fans to continue helping out by adding an optional $2 to their ticket price to plant a tree with The Nature Conservancy as part of TNC’s Plant a Billion Campaign.
DMD is once again working with non-profit environmental organization REVERB to calculate the carbon footprint associated with fan travel to its 2021 shows. The band will be neutralizing emissions by supporting carbon reduction projects. Today’s announcement notes that DMB has long been environmental stewards by “reducing their environmental footprint and neutralizing tour carbon emissions from flights, busses and trucks, hotel stays and venue energy use going back to their first shows in 1991.”
