James Blake announced a fall tour Thursday to coincide with the release of his fifth album, Friends That Break Your Heart, which arrives September 10.
The British electro-soul artist’s trek kicks off at San Diego’s The Observatory North Park on September 16, and concludes about a month later at Atlanta’s Tabernacle on October 15. In between, Blake will make stops at venues including Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl (September 25), New York’s Radio City Music Hall (October 9) and Washington, D.C.’s The Anthem (October 12).
The venues on Blake’s fall itinerary are largely new for him, although one in particular will be familiar ground: Radio City, where he notched his highest gross in Pollstar‘s box office database, moving 5,736 tickets at a sold-out show for a take of $329,481 on Oct. 3, 2016.
Other recent highlights for Blake include a sold-out two-night March 2019 stand at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif., where he moved 5,718 tickets and grossed $277,323, and sold-out shows on that same tour at Boston’s House of Blues and Chicago’s Riviera Theatre that grossed $106,066 and $92,710, respectively.
Blake is represented by WME. His most recent album, 2019’s Assume Form, was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the Grammys.
