In a nod to the power of positive visualization, Steely Dan announced the “Absolutely Normal Tour ’21” on Monday, which will take the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band across the East Coast this October and November.

Comprised of 28 dates, several of Steely Dan’s stops on the tour will be multi-night runs. The band will play two nights a piece in Orlando, Fla.; St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Port Chester, N.Y.; and it’ll take the stage for three shows each at Philadelphia’s The Met Philadelphia (Oct. 27, 29, 30) and Boston’s Orpheum Theatre (Nov. 17, 19, 20).

Steely Dan also has four-night stands in the books at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, Fla., which will open the tour on Oct. 5-6 and Oct. 8-9, and at Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, N.J., Nov. 3-4 and Nov. 6-7.

The tour is produced by Live Nation, with tickets going on sale to the public on July 30 at 10 a.m. local time.

Steely Dan grossed just under $6 million in 2019, highlighted by a five-night October run at New York’s Beacon Theatre that grossed $1.7 million.

The band has recently played multiple venues on its itinerary. In October 2018, it moved 3,434 tickets and grossed $291,635 during a sold-out show at the Altria Theater in Richmond, Va., which it will play again on Oct. 23. In April 2016, Steely Dan moved 2,468 tickets and grossed $362,613 across two nights at the Capitol Theatre. In fall 2019, it played five nights at Boston’s Orpheum and two nights at The Met Philadelphia, both of which Pollstar lacks box office data for.

Steely Dan co-founder Walter Becker died in September 2017.

Along with the tour announcement, Steely Dan announced a new live album, Northeast Corridor: Steely Dan Live!, and the band’s Donald Fagen announced a live set, The Nightfly Live, both of which arrive digitally on September 24.
