CAA Signs Singer/Songwriter/Producer Belly

CAA has signed award-winning songwriter extraordinaire Belly in all areas. 

The artist, otherwise known as Ahmad Balshe, was born in Palestine and raised in Canada. He s also a singer, rapper and producer. 
Belly co-wrote half of the tracks on The Weeknd’s fourth studio album, 2020’s After Hours, including the 8X-Platinum single “Blinding Lights.” Belly, The Weeknd and DaHeala were recently honored with a Juno as Songwriter of the Year for the tracks “After Hours,” “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears.” 
Belly was also one of the co-songwriters for The Weeknd’s Juno Award-winning 2015 album, Beauty Behind the Madness. His other accolades include Grammy Award nominations (Best R&B song and Best Song Written for Visual Media) and an Academy Award nomination (Best Original Song) for The Weeknd’s 2014 tune “Earned It,” which was the lead single from the soundtrack to “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Belly’s own debut studio album, 2007’s The Revolution, was named the Rap Recording of the Year at the Juno’s. He’s won nine SOCAN Songwriter Prizes, including Songwriter of the Year.
His third studio album, See You Next Wednesday, is due out this year. His latest release is the single “Better Believe,” featuring The Weeknd and Young Thug. A few days after its release the tune hit No. 4    among Spotify’s Top Debut Songs. 
Belly is managed by Wassim “Sal” Slaiby of SALXCO and is signed to XO | REPUBLIC & ROC NATION.
