Pollstar Live! Digital Session Announced For Aug. 19 Featuring Impact: Next Gen Honorees

Pollstar Live! Digital Session:
– Pollstar Live! Digital Session
Impact: Next Gen
Along with the print feature package, this year’s Impact: Next Gen special includes a Pollstar Live! Digital Session featuring four of the 2021 honorees, which will post online on Thursday, Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET.
Filmed at the recently modernized Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the discussion will focus on the live business with a lively talk featuring a well-rounded group that includes agent Victoria Gutierrez of ICM Partners, artist manager Sali Kharazi of Full Stop Management, tour promoter Tyler Scott of Live Nation and talent buyer Patrick Wilson of New Jersey’s White Eagle Hall.
The session will be moderated by music agent Phil Quist, who was honored as part of Pollstar’s 2021 Impact 50 list. Quist has helped sign and/or represents many of the world’s leading musicians, including The Chainsmokers, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Charli XCX, Lil Miquela, R3HAB, Maggie Lindemann, and more. Quist also serves as an investor at Connect Ventures.
This year’s Impact: Next Gen 2021 feature is in partnership with Pollstar sister publication VenuesNow, combining the worlds of content and facilities for the most comprehensive feature possible. Presented by The Torch at LA Coliseum, this list honors 25 young executives charting the future of the live business, with 15 honorees named by Pollstar and 10 from VenuesNow. The honorees were nominated by the Pollstar and VenuesNow editorial teams, as well as the larger live industry.
Gutierrez works with a diverse roster of established as well as up-and-coming talent that includes EARTHGANG, Kash Doll, Rexx Life Raj, ODIE, Jehlani Aryeh, and more. She joined ICM Partners as an assistant to Partner Dennis Ashley in 2014 and was promoted to agent in 2019.
Kharazi had had stints at labels like Suretone and Bananabeat; and worked directly for artists including Shwayze (both Aaron Smith and the group with Cisco Adler) and Sky Blu of LMFAO while wearing an extraordinary number of hats, including manager, tour manager, production manager, social media manager and video location scout. During her time at Full Stop, she’s worked her way up to managing Meghan Trainor, Rei Ami and Eloise Alterman.
Since getting his first role as assistant to Omar Al-Joulani and Ryan McElrath in the Live Nation Touring office, Scott has grown into an influential event producer, talent buyer, and promoter.  His first experience producing a full event came with H.E.R.’s Lights On Festival in 2019.
Wilson, who is also the head of artist relations at the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), was honored as part of VenuesNow’s Next Gen list. After participating in calls about how independent venues should respond to the coronavirus crisis — the genesis of NIVA — he immediately jumped into the fray, building the fledgling organization’s website over Easter weekend.
