Megan Thee Stallion, who will headline Okeechobee 2022, performs at Chicago’s Lollapalooza on July 31, 2021.
Florida festival Okeechobee announced its 2022 return and lineup Tuesday.
Tame Impala, Megan Thee Stallion and Porter Robinson will top the bill for the event, which is slated to return to Okeechobee, Fla., just over an hour northwest of West Palm Beach, from March 3 to March 6.
Other notable artists on the bill include Rezz, Griz, Denzel Curry, Jungle, Gary Clark Jr., Ashnikko, Flying Lotus, Jai Wolf, Four Tet, Caribou, The Glitch Mob, Smino, Mt. Joy, Washed Out, Gus Dapperton, STRFKR, Twin Shadow, Papadosio and Ross From Friends.
Okeechobee, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, will also feature immersive art experiences, pop-up shows, health and wellness programming, yoga and more.
The festival marks another festival headlining appearance for Tame Impala, which this fall appears atop bills for Las Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful, Delaware’s Life Is Beautiful and San Francisco’s Outside Lands. And Okeechobee marks an elevation for Megan Thee Stallion, who has sat on the second lines of festivals such as Firefly and Austin City Limits this fall.
In 2020, Okeechobee was one of the final large concerts held before the coronavirus pandemic forced the temporary shutdown of live entertainment, with tens of thousands of fans flocking to Florida for the event, which took place March 5-8 and was topped by Vampire Weekend, Mumford & Sons and Rüfüs Du Sol.
“We feel incredibly lucky to have been able to gather one last time and successfully pull off the show, and we believe that sentiment was shared by everyone present,” organizers for Okeechobee told Pollstar in March, a year after the 2020 event. “As far as we know, to this day there have been no reports of anyone contracting the virus at the festival.”
Tickets for the event go onsale to the general public on Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. ET
