Eric Church makes the leap from the third ranking on Pollstar‘s LIVE75 chart to No. 1 on the strength of a 14,854-ticket average from eight performances on his “Gather Again” tour. One of the shows was the first of six Canadian dates scheduled on the tour that runs through next May: a sellout on Oct. 2 at Winnipeg, Manitoba’s Canada Life Centre (formerly Bell MTS Place). His highest-grossing concert of the eight is the second stop on the tour, a Sept. 18 sellout at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, with a box-office take of $2.17 million.
Making the highest-ranked debut at No. 4 is J. Cole who earns the HOT SHOT tag based on a per-show average of 12,412 tickets. He enters the chart with two shows from his “Off-Season” tour currently playing U.S. arenas through Oct. 27. With sellouts at both American Airlines Center in Dallas and Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, his gross from both concerts tops $2.6 million.
Eagles takes the No. 6 ranking with the band’s chart debut from a two-show engagement Sept. 20-21, also at the Dallas arena. With a gross average of $2.7 million per concert, the rock group scores HEAVY HITTER status with the first shows reported from the 2021 “Hotel California” tour set to continue through Nov. 6.
