Dennis Condon, whose career entailed 25 years at Capitol International Productions and included stints at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland and Dick Clark Talent Agency, has passed. He was 78.
Condon’s career began as entertainment director at the Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park in Southern California from 1972-78, where he produced Latin music festivals with stars. He also was with Legends in Concerts and later with Dick Clark Talent Agency from 1988-’93, as well as the Reno Convention Bureau, before becoming manager of talent casting and booking at Disneyland, a post he held from 1998 to 2002.
For the last 25 years, Condon was with Chicago-based Capitol International Productions, heading up the company’s Latin music efforts, offering talent for parks, fairs casinos and other venues. He booked all Latin talent for SeaWorld San Diego’s “Viva la Musica” concert for the last couple of years.
A statement from Capitol called him “a dear friend” and noted his “truly amazing intelligence and memory, as well as a very kind soul. He will be greatly missed.”
