Megan Thee Stallion To Open Houston's 713 Music Hall Dec. 3

Houston native and three-time Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion will play the grand opening show at the city’s new 713 Music Hall, taking place Dec. 3 and presented by 97.9 The Box.

“It’s always special to come back home and perform in front of my OG hotties,” Megan Thee Stallion said in the announcement. “I can’t wait to take the stage and celebrate the grand opening of 713 Music Hall — it’s going to be unforgettable!”

The 5,000-capacity concert venue is managed by Live Nation’s venue division, Venue Nation, with the name of the venue a nod to the city’s area code. 713 Music Hall is located in the city’s latest major downtown development project, POST Houston, and is a key anchor toward transforming the historic Barbara Jordan Post Office into a an entertainment and culture hub. The announcement says 100 events are expected annually.

It’s been a year of high-profile live moments for Megan Thee Stallion, from turning heads at hip-hop powerhouse Rolling Loud Florida to a headlining slot at the venerable Bonnaroo, as well as other major multi-genre festivals like Music Midtown in Atlanta, BottleRock in Northern California and Austin City Limits Music Festival, to upcoming festival slots at Primavera Sound in Barcelona as well as dates with pop star Dua Lipa.
