Snail Mail, the indie-rock project of Lindsey Jordan, postponed 2021 U.S. and early 2022 European dates on Monday due to vocal cord surgery.

The tour’s first U.S. leg, comprised of 19 dates booked from Nov. 27 to Dec. 21 on the East Coast and in the Midwest, has been rescheduled August and September 2022, and will now follow another Snail Mail North American touring leg in April and May 2022.

Snail Mail’s U.K. and European touring, originally planned for February and March 2022, is in the process of being rescheduled.

“I’ve been struggling with my vocal health more and more each year,” Jordan wrote in a statement. “I lose my voice after a couple days of singing. I went to see an ENT last week and they found massive polyps in my vocal cords (surprisingly from vocal trauma due to talking!! shocker lol) that need to be operated on to prevent permanent damage to my voice.”

Jordan, who is represented in the U.S. by Ground Control Touring, released her new album Valentine earlier this month and will be playing the biggest rooms of her headlining career in 2022. Planned stops include Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre (April 7), Denver’s Ogden Theater (April 17) and Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl (May 8).

Snail Mail’s top grossing entries in Pollstar’s database include 2019 shows at San Francisco’s Fillmore ($27,577 grossed), Minneapolis’ First Avenue ($24,138) and Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club ($20,400).
