Judas Priest Reschedules ’50 Heavy Metal Years’ Tour For 2022

Judas Priest looks ready to give their “50 Heavy Metal Years” tour another go, announcing its rescheduled, six-week trek with Queensrÿche in the place of original opener Sabaton in support.
Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster for the trek that begins March 4 in Peoria, Ill., and winds down April 13 in Hamilton, Ont., Canada. In between are stops including Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, Philadelphia and more.
“50 Heavy Metal Years” was to take Judas Priest through U.S. venues in fall 2020, and did launch in September but came to an abrupt halt when guitarist Richie Faulkner suffered a ruptured aorta onstage during the band’s Louder Than Life festival appearance in Louisville, Ken.
Judas Priest was also to open U.K. and European tour dates with Ozzy Osourne in 2022, but with those dates now postponed to 2023, the decks are cleared for the resumption of the band’s U.S. tour.
