Country Thunder Florida, the country music festival based in Kissimmee, Fla., announced the addition Thursday of headliners Jason Aldean and Chris Young for its October 2022 event.

Young and Aldean join previously announced headliner Morgan Wallen, whose booking was announced in mid-October.

“Country Thunder Florida has become the biggest country music event in Central Florida and we have these fans to thank,” said Country Thunder Music Festivals CEO Troy Vollhoffer in a statement. “We had an amazing festival last fall with Eric Church, Dierks Bentley and Old Dominion. We knew we had to up the ante and deliver the biggest and best artist roster possible.”

Country Thunder Florida also announced several other artists for its 2022 event, including Ashley McBryde, Chase Rice, Granger Smith feat. Earl Dibbles Jr., Clay Walker, Tracy Lawrence, Lindsay Ell, Kameron Marlowe, Laney Wilson and James Barker Band.

After postponing its 2020 edition due to the coronavirus pandemic, Country Thunder Florida returned in September 2021 with a headlining slate of Church, Bentley and Old Dominion. Wallen was initially announced as a 2021 headliner, but was replaced by Old Dominion in April after he initially canceled his touring appearances for the year.

A Country Thunder Florida press release describes Wallen as “the biggest musical entity in the world right now,” noting that his U.S. fall headlining gigs “sold between 30 and 50,000 tickets per venue in minutes.” In November, Wallen announced an extensive 46-date headlining tour that will stretch from February to September 2022.

Country Thunder, which has long operated festivals in Wisconsin, Arizona and Iowa, expanded into Florida with its first Sunshine State event in 2019.

Three-day passes for Country Thunder Florida are onsale now.
