Live Nation announced The Smoker’s Club Fest on Thursday, a one-day hip-hop event that will host Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti and many other rappers at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, Calif., east of Los Angeles, on April 30.

The event will feature more than 60 other artists, including 2 Chainz, Ferg, Joey Bada$$, Flatbush Zombies, Dom Kennedy, Yung Lean, Berner, Curren$y, Danny Brown, Rico Nasty, Earl Sweatshirt, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Wale, The Alchemist and Clams Casino. Three performers will play classic albums from their respective discographies: Schoolboy Q (Oxymoron), Wiz Khalifa (Kush & Orange Juice) and Lupe Fiasco (Food & Liquor).

Soon after its 2010 founding in New York City as a lifestyle brand, The Smoker’s Club began putting on hip-hop shows and tours – including its first-ever event, a SXSW showcase that featured Kendrick Lamar, Big K.R.I.T., Curren$y, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock and others. The brand also developed a streetwear and accessories brand (Smokers Club Clothing) and a cannabis business (Smokers Club Trees).

Other Smoker’s Club events hosted over the years included an April 2018 Goldenvoice-presented two-day festival held aboard a retired ocean liner and a December 2019 single-night event at Queens’ Knockdown Center.

A$AP Rocky received top billing at multiple 2021 festivals, including New York’s Governors Ball and Las Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful, but The Smoker’s Club Fest is his first announced performance of 2022.

Playboi Carti, meanwhile, embarked on an extensive arena and amphitheater tour in fall 2021 that included stops at Colorado’s Red Rocks, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, among others. The top-grossing box office report from the tour in Pollstar’s database came from a sold-out show at Southern California’s Forum, moving 10,543 tickets and grossing $711,685.

The announcement marks the second single-day, genre-specific festival revealed by Live Nation this week, following When We Were Young, an emo and pop-punk event scheduled to take place in Las Vegas on October 22 with a lineup topped by My Chemical Romance and Paramore.

Tickets for The Smoker’s Club Fest go on sale to the general public on Jan. 24 at 2 p.m PT and begin at $222.99.
