performs at The Brown Theatre on Sept. 19, 2021, in Louisville, Ky. The comedian is the “Hot Shot” on this week’s LIVE75 chart, ranking at No. 10.
George Strait’s two-night stint at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Dec. 3-4 fueled his top-ranked debut appearance on the LIVE75 chart in the previous issue, and he remains there for a second consecutive week with per-show averages of 15,175 tickets and a gross topping $2 million. The shows were his second two-show run at the arena last year after returning with his residency in mid-August, marking his first engagement at the venue since the early months of 2020.
The remainder of the top five also retain their ranking for a second week including Andrea Bocelli, who scores the “Heavy Hitter” tag for a third time. His repeat at No. 3, based on five arena performances in U.S. cities in December, produced a gross average over $2.2 million, making him the only artist besides Strait to average $2 million or more in sold-ticket earnings.
Jo Koy arrives at No. 10 and earns the “Hot Shot” classification as the artist with the highest debut of the week. He scores a ticket average of 5,563 on the strength of 17 performances at both arenas and theaters in U.S. cities. His largest crowd numbered 14,183 at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, one of the January dates on his ongoing “Funny is Funny” world tour.
The only other touring artist to debut in the top 25 is Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, bowing at No. 16 with a three-show ticket average of 2,297. Two of the shows were at Durham Performing Arts Center in North Carolina, while one followed at Peace Center Concert Hall in Greenville, S.C.
