Promoters Cuffe and Taylor, based in England’s North West, have agreed to a five-year deal to co-promote headline shows with The Piece Hall Trust, which operates the 5,500-capacity Piece Hall in Halifax, Yorkshire.
The Piece Hall is a unique architectural and cultural wonder that originally opened in 1779 to trade cloth produced by Yorkshire’s famous woollen mills, and is the only remaining Georgian cloth hall in the world.
Today, the Grade I listed building is recognized as an award-winning contemporary cultural, heritage and live entertainment destination. Since reopening in 2017, The Piece Hall has welcomed more than eight million visitors through its historic gates, by its own admission.
Cuffe and Taylor will co-promote more than a dozen open air shows staged within the venue’s 66,000 square feet courtyard in June and July. Dubbed “Live at The Piece Hall,” the shows will make 2022 The Piece Hall’s biggest summer season of live music to date.
