Pitbull Announces ‘Can’t Stop Us Now’ Summer Tour with Iggy Azalea And Sean Paul
Pitbull’s new tour name says it all. Mr. Worldwide is following up last year’s trek – which saw the superstar playing more than 40 shows and performing to over 450,000 fans – with the “Can’t Stop Us Now Tour,” featuring more than 50 dates in North America.
With the energy of his namesake dog, Pitbull just keeps going. He’ll be joined on the road by Iggy Azalea and Sean Paul on select shows, with SiriusXM Globalization DJ’s to open all dates.
Produced by Live Nation, “Can’t Stop Us Now” launches July 28 at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, N.C. The tour concludes Oct. 19 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla. Stops in between include Montreal’s Bell Centre; Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo.; Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa; San Antonio’s AT&T Center; Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl; New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
Pitbull took part in a keynote Q&A at Pollstar Live! in February that was moderated by his longtime friend HeartMedia program director Beata Murphy. During the conversation Mr. Worldwide shared about his upcoming plans, including the promise of this summer tour.
“We got the Spanish album that’s coming, which is called Pit Coin, by the way. NFT that. We’ve got a Spanish single coming out. And then we have a record I’m very, very excited about that we’re looking to put out in April. We’re going back and forth with his team right now. And we have a record with Zac Brown coming out that’s gonna be, I guarantee you, a game-changer. And it’s going to bring two worlds together like we’ve always done. Collaborating. And the record’s called ‘Ain’t Nothing Going To Stop Us.’ And that’s exactly what this whole journey, and grind, and fight is about.”
Fans can register now for a ticket presale that starts April 13 at 10 a.m. local time. A password for the presale will be sent via text and email 25 minutes before the presale begins. The general public onsale starts April 15 at 10 a.m. local time.
Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for Pitbull include an Oct. 9 show at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, N.C., that sold 18,078 tickets and grossed $869,305.
