Karol G Follows Standout Coachella Shows With ‘$trip Love Tour’ Of North American Arenas

Fresh off two weekends of highlight appearances at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival, Colombian superstar in the making Karol G this morning announced her “$trip Love Tour,” a major North American arena outing launching Sept. 6 at Allstate Arena in Chicago.

Karol G’s spellbinding Coachella appearances included special guests Becky G (no relation) and J Balvin, placing her firmly in the Latin music stratosphere just in time to announce the 30-city tour that includes stops in New York, Toronto, Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas and more before wrapping Vancouver, B.C., Oct. 29.

Presales for the AEG Presents-produced tour begin tomorrow, April 26 at noon local time through Karol G’s website karolgmusic.com with the code AMOR. General public onsales begin Friday, April 29, also at noon local time.

After breaking multiple sales records with her previous “Bichota Tour,” Karol G promises to make her new “$trip Love Tour” some of the most impressive shows of her career where she will bring to life all the greatest hits of her music repertoire.

Of her shows over the past three years, 18 headline shows and 35 co-bills have been reported to Pollstar Boxoffice, for an average of 8,469 tickets sold per show and gross of $526,531. With 30 headliners in major arenas on the “$trip Love Tour,” Karol G is certain to blow up those averages in 2022.

One of Karol G’s Coachella highlights, in addition to performing a medley of many of the greatest Latin hits of all time, she debuted a new single, Provenza,” live. Only a couple of days after its premiere, “Provenza” conquered digital platforms, positioning itself at the top of most of the prestigious playlists, and reaching the No. 1 spot on YouTube’s “Global Trending” chart with its music video, which quickly garnered more than 13 million views. Meanwhile, the song also debuted at #25 on Apple Music’s global “Top Songs” chart.
