NAWF The Legend: Migos’ Quavo, a former all-state high school quarterback, will celebrate “Huncho Day” this Saturday April 30.

Rejoice! Huncho Day is upon us! And today Migos frontman, Quavo, announced he’s joined forces with Legends for a new merch drop, NAWF Legends, which will be available exclusively on the livestream shopping app NTWRK for 48 hours before landing on Legends’ website. The merch line coincides with Quavo’s annual celebrity flag football game “Huncho Day” set for April 30th at The Fan Controlled Football Venue at Pullman Yards in Atlanta, GA.

This year’s Huncho Day includes a celebrity charity game with a number of high profile NFL players and artists, including: Cam Newton, 2 Chainz, Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman, Richie LeCounte, Offset, DK Metcalf, Alvin Kamara and, of course, Quavo. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Quavo Cares Foundation benefitting The Tender Foundation providing a safety net for single mothers in Atlanta.

Migos, the Atlanta-based rap trio, have a number of high profile festival plays this summer including Governor’s Ball in June, Rolling Loud in Toronto and Life Is Beautiful in Las Vegas both in September. According to Pollstar Boxoffice Reports, the group has averaged 102K tickets sold per show and an average gross of $188.5K.

Quavo, it should be noted, played both basketball and football at North Atlanta’s (NAWF) Berkmar High School and was an all-state quarterback. Other Huncho Day games include a high school youth game (Huncho Team vs. Cam Newton’s Team) and two FCF Evening Games, will stream live with play-by-play commentary courtesy of commentator Greg Mescall and ex-NFL player Ryan Shazier.

“When Quavo came on as an investor in Legends, he knew he wanted to collaborate on a one-of-a-kind collection that would celebrate the place and culture he grew up in,” said Scott Hochstadt, Legends Founder and Chief Creative Officer, in a statement. “We’re honored to bring his vision to life and support his continuous pursuit of giving back to North Atlanta.”

The NAWF merch drop (left) includes mesh tech jersey, an Aviation Tee, Luka and Cambo Shorts, with Quavo and Legends collaborative designs.

“Quavo’s innovative eye brought unique designs and style to the clothes, which we paired with performance technology to elevate each piece,” state Lauren Jones, Legends VP of Design. “Quavo and this collection epitomizes what Legends is all about; merging the worlds of sport and culture as well as performance and lifestyle.”

In other Quavo news, reports surfaced yesterday that the rapper, producer and entrepreneur will star in the action-thriller “Takeover,” produced by Quality Films, the production arm of record label and management company Quality Control, and Trioscope, the company behind Netflix’s “The Liberator.” Quavo previously appeared in Atlanta, “Black-ish” and “Narcos: Mexico,”
