The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are gearing up for a massive return with the news that the art-punk trio has signed to a new record label, Secretly Canadian, and that fans can expect new music this fall – marking the band’s first release in more than nine years. To ramp up the excitement, the trio has also unveiled two upcoming headline shows in New York City and Los Angeles for October.

On Oct. 1, the art-punk trio will headline Forest Hills Stadium in Queens with The Linda Lindas and another special guest. Then, on Oct. 6, they’ll head over to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles with Japanese Breakfast and The Linda Lindas.

“It’s with true life affirming pleasure to announce our two headline shows in our two hometowns NYC and LA supported by two wildly gifted bands Japanese Breakfast and The Linda Lindas at the Hollywood Bowl, with The Linda Lindas supporting in Forest Hills and our other support TBA soon,” The Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O said in a statement. “Representin’ a few generations yo! Cannot wait to see you there! New music! New Era! And new home with Secretly Canadian! Much to celebrate!”

Ahead of the new gigs, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be performing throughout the UK and Australia over the summer. June will see the trio taking the stage at O2 Apollo in Manchester and O2 Academy Brixton in London, while July sees them heading over to Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion with support from Wet Leg. Festival appearances include Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal.

Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs include a May 7, 2019, show at the Moody Theater in Austin that sold 2,521 tickets and grossed $158,477.

Tickets for the group’s upcoming dates in New York and Los Angeles will go on sale starting May 6 at 10 a.m. local time. American Express cardmembers can purchase presale tickets from May 3 at 10 a.m. local through May 5 at 10 p.m. local time.
