Yesterday, May 4, the French Government, through the culture ministry, awarded the managing director of Live Nation France, Angelo Gopee, the prestigious honour of becoming “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” for his services to music.

“Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters), is conferred on persons who have distinguished themselves by their creativity in the field of art, culture and literature or for their contribution to the influence of arts in France and throughout the world.

Angelo Gopee is an active member of the French trade body Prodiss, amongst other things, and alongside his colleagues has worked tirelessly for the live music and performing arts sector over many years.

President of Live Nation EMEA John Reid said: “All of us at Live Nation are delighted for Angelo. He is a leading advocate for the growth and success of live music in France.”
