Austin is the place and October 5-7 are the dates for the fifth VenuesNow Conference.

Registration opened today at www.venuesnowconference.com. The site will be updated with the latest information on panels, speakers, hotel and more.

Since its 2017 launch VNC has drawn a who’s who of industry professionals, both on panels discussing critical business issues and among attendees, making for an intriguing three days of educational programming and networking opportunities.

With last month’s opening of the OVG-developed and operated Moody Center at The University of Texas at Austin, attendees will have an opportunity to tour the 15,000-seat arena and a number of other venues in a dynamic city billed as the live music capital of the world.

Oak View Group CEO Tim Leiweke said the host city adds value to the conference beyond the speakers and content that has made VNC a key gathering over the course of events in Los Angeles, New York and Seattle, site of last year’s conference, which drew over 1,000 registrants.

“Presenting VenuesNow Conference in Austin allows us to provide all our attendees the opportunity to visit Moody Center Arena, Q2 Stadium, Circuit of Americas F1 track, and Austin City Limits, and showcase some of the best venues in motor sports, festivals, MLS and NCAA, Leiweke said. “As always, VenuesNow Conference will hear from the most important leaders in the facility business, leaders in food and beverage, architecture and designers, sustainability, premium spaces, and trends in facility development and operations.”

Pollstar’s 2022 Impact 50 cover honorees — Charlie Walker, Amy Corbin, and Charles Attal of C3 Presents — will be the feature subjects of the conference Keynote Q&A, “From Austin to the World: C3 & the Universal Language.”

Other topics include: security (“The Value of a Prevention Culture: Lessons Learned”), content and booking (“Converting Holds Into Sellouts & Navigating Content Through Uncharted Waters”), sponsorships (“NFTs, Crypto, and the New Tech Sponsorship Opportunity”), food and beverage (“NextGen Beverage Partner Strategies for Venues”), premium (“Patience & Premium: Managing the Timeline to Drive Revenue & Sell to a Larger Prospect Pool”), music venues (“Austin Venues: Keeping The Live Music Capital Live”), along with discussions on “Parking & Mobility: Cracking The Code,” “Staffing, Culture, & Customer Service Strategies.”

Speakers and discussions will also cover architecture/design, the latest technology impacting venues, sustainability, security and diversity.

CAA ICON is the conference presenting sponsor in association with Delaware North.

“VNC 2022 will offer a chance to experience the food, music and culture that Austin provides, and this will certainly be the largest facilities conference ever,” Leiweke said. “We are committed to making this the best Venues Now Conference ever in one of the greatest emerging markets in the world.”
