ASM Global Appoints GM For York Barbican England

ASM Global announced the appointment of Sam Ryder as general manager of the York Barbican in England.

Ryder will begin his new role from July 2022, as York Barbican heads into a busy summer, with events including the Cazoo U.K. Snooker Championship, Jason Manford, Katherine Ryan, Marc Almond, The Proclaimers and Jools Holland.

Ryder joins from ASM Global operated Bonus Arena in Hull, where he has worked as head of operations, and as part of the team to first open the arena in 2018. During his time at Bonus Arena, Sam and his team successfully delivered sell-out live events including performances by Noel Gallagher, Stereophonics, and Michael McIntyre, as well as conferences and private events for clients such as Wren Kitchens and Renewables UK.
