Live Nation UK Set For ‘Biggest Summer Ever’

Over the months of June, July and August, Live Nation will host nearly six million fans at live shows across the UK, making it” a record-breaking outdoor season,” according to a press release sent out today.

June kicked off with over 200,000 fans at the new Creamfields South and Liam Gallagher at Knebworth over the bank holiday weekend, June 3-4.

The weekend of June 10-11 saw more than 300,000 fans descend on Donington and Heaton Park for Download and Parklife festival, respectively, featurring headline sets from Kiss, Iron Maiden, Biffy Clyro, 50 Cent, Chase & Status, Tyler, The Creator, and Bicep.

In Live Nation UK’s own estimation fans will be attending more than 100 events across the summer, four million at a festival or outdoor event, and nearly 2 million at indoor shows across the country. Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, Eagles, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Billie Eilish are just a tiny selection of tours visiting the UK this year.

Denis Desmond, chairman Live Nation UK and Ireland, said, “It is wonderful to see fans reunited with the artists they love, and new bands forging their futures. This will be a summer to remember.”
