Marcus Mumford launches a solo North American tour in Colorado this fall in support of his eponymous debut album, with dates Sept. 19 at Boulder’s Fox Theatre and Sept. 20 at the Paramount Theatre in Denver.

The tour includes shows at The Wiltern in Los Angeles (Sept. 30), Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium (Oct. 30) and the Beacon Theatre in New York City (Nov. 7) with support from Daniell Ponder Sept. 19-Oct. 14 and The A’s Oct. 17-Nov. 10.

Mumford is also slated to perform at Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas Oct. 9 and Oct. 16.

The Mumford & Sons founder will also host Marcus Mumford & Friends at the Jane Pickens Theater in Newport, R.I., as an aftershow during the Newport Folk Festival to benefit Newport Festivals Foundation.

The Seated Fan Club ticket pre-sale begins on Tuesday, July 26, at 10 AM local time at Mumford’s website and the public onsale begins Friday, July 29, at 10 a.m. local time.

The tour marks Mumford’s first full solo outing, though he’s performed some special events including “Banding Together – A Concert For The Colorado Music Relief Fund” in May 2020.

Mumford is apparently just taking a break from his band to do his own thing for awhile, and record with friends like Brandi Carlile, Phoebe Bridgers, Clairo and Monica Martin.
