Farm Aid – the event bringing together artists, farmers and fans with a mission of keeping family farmers on the land – is back and this time around the festival is headed to Raleigh, N.C. As per tradition, the fest features performances from Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson & Family, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, and Margo Price and more.

The 2022 edition takes place Sept. 24 Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh. This is the second time Farm Aid has taken place in North Carolina.

The lineup also features Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Allison Russell, Charley Crockett, Brittney Spencer, and Particle Kid.

“I’ve always said that family farmers strengthen us all. Farmers in North Carolina, across the Southeast, and all over the country are growing solutions to our toughest challenges, including climate change. We’re bringing Farm Aid here to highlight their hard work and celebrate the ways we can all join farmers to help,” Willie Nelson said in a statement.

Along with all that great music, the event boasts plenty of good eats with Farm Aid’s HOMEGROWN Concessions®, “the first-of-its-kind model for featuring family farm-identified, local and organic foods at major concert events.”

And then there’s the HOMEGROWN Village, described as “a mini festival within a festival,” with hands-on activities, talks from farmers and artists on pressing issues, demonstrations to learn agrarian skills and celebrate the culture of agriculture, and the chance to connect with organizations doing critical food and farm work. A post on social media notes that “this year’s festival will showcase how farmers are leading the way to mitigate climate change by sharing their stories on the Farm Aid stage and throughout the event.”

A presale begins Wednesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. ET, followed by the general onsale Saturday, July 30, at 10 a.m. ET.

“Everywhere we go, we hear from festivalgoers that there’s nothing quite like the Farm Aid experience. Farmers and eaters are inspired and empowered at the intersection of music and family farm food to support the source of our food – family farmers – and to join farmers in fighting for our soil and water,” Carolyn Mugar, Farm Aid Executive Director said in a statement.
