The Comet Is Coming Unveils Fall Tour Dates

London-based jazz trio The Comet Is Coming has announced a fall tour that will see the band heading across North America from September through October.

The band’s fall plans begin on Sept. 24 at Benington, Ark., with a performance at FORMAT, the new event from C3 Presents in partnership with TRIADIC which combines music, art and technology. 

From there, the jazz trio will make stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston and more before wrapping up at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on Oct. 22. The tour will also see two nights at The Independent in San Francisco on Oct. 3 and 4

Along with their upcoming tour dates, the group announced their fourth studio album, Hyper-Dimensional Expansion Beam will be released on Sept. 23 via Impulse! Records. The first single off the upcoming album, “CODE,” was also released alongside the announcement.

Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for The Comet Is Coming include a Feb. 21, 2020, show at Debaser Strand in Stockholm, Sweden, that grossed $14,156 (136,585 Kronas).

Hyper-Dimension Expansion Beam follows the band’s 2019 album, The Afterlife, and marks their third release on Impulse! The upcoming album was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World studio in England.
