Wasserman Music has launched a Marketing Services & Digital Strategy department as part of the agency’s expansion and reorganization of its services. Led by SVP, Marketing Sam Alpert, the new department is focused on tour marketing, digital strategy, ticketing and live streaming.

Mary Pryor (Senior Director, Strategy, focused on Web3) and Sam Benfey (Director, Digital Strategy, focused on digital opportunities) will also join the department, which plans to expand in the coming months.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Mary Pryor and Sam Benfey into the fold, and to have their expertise and connections available to our agents and artists,” Alpert said in a statement. “Using Wasserman Music’s successful tour marketing model, this expansion into digital strategy, ticketing and live streaming allows us to continue to super-serve our roster. The integration and internal collaboration between departments will open the door for countless new opportunities and provide additional resources, knowledge and perspectives for our artists in their touring careers and far beyond.”

The Tour Marketing team will collaborate with management, labels, agent teams and promoter partners on artists’ overall marketing strategies. The Digital Strategy division will specialize on social media, Web3, NFTs, Crypto, Gaming, Esports and podcasting. Pryor will oversee the Digital Strategy division. The Ticketing wing will focus on primary and secondary ticketing, while the live streaming focus will continue building out livestreaming for their artists.

Benfey previously worked with Paradigm Talent Agency as Executive of Business Development and an Agent of Digital Media and Brand Partnerships, while Pryor has worked with Sony Music Group, Viacom, Essence Magazine, Rolling Stone, Sean Combs Enterprises and more. Her new role will see her educating Wasserman Music staff on how to best utilize Web3.
