The 1975 To Be ‘At Their Very Best’ For Upcoming North American Tour Dates
The 1975 unveiled their fall “At Their Very Best” North American Tour, which sees dates at Madison Square Garden, the Kia Forum and more, with the shows kicking off on Nov. 2 in Uncasville, Conn.
From there, the band will perform at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway, with the tour seeing stops in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Nashville, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and more before wrapping up on Dec. 17 at Pittsburgh’s UPMC Events Center.
Ahead of their upcoming tour dates, The 1975 are set to release their fifth studio album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language on Oct. 14 via Dirty Hit. The band has already released the first two singles ahead of the album, “Happiness” and “Part Of The Band.”
The 1975 are due to make their live comeback while headlining Japan’s Summer Sonic in Tokyo and Osaka on Aug. 20 and 21, respectively. The band’s last reported tour dates to Pollstar took place in March 2020, right ahead of the worldwide COVID-19 lockdowns. The 1975 sold 11,527 tickets at 3Arena in Dublin on March 3, 2020, grossing $518,177, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. The highest-grossing dates from their 2020 European tour saw $756,325 at Manchester Arena on Feb. 28 and $1.9 million for two nights at The O2 London on Feb. 21 and 22.
The last time the band performed stateside was in 2019, which saw two sows at BB&T Pavilion in Camden, N.J., on Nov. 16 and 17, 2019, grossing a total $632,359, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. The band also took the stage at Pechanga Arena in San Diego on Dec. 5, 2019, grossing $345,617 for the performance.
Tickets for the upcoming tour dates will go on sale Aug. 12, with a fan presale beginning on Aug. 8.
