450,000 Across Six Days At Hungary’s Sziget

Sziget, one of Europe’s biggest festivals, returned for the first time in three years, Aug. 10-15, counting a total of 450,000 guests entering through the gates across all six days of the Budapest, Hungary, event.

The team told Pollstar that attendance was fairly equal across all days — an average of 75,000 visitors per day,

Sziget’s massive lineup boasted, in alphabetical order, Anne-Marie, Arctic Monkeys, Alan Walker, Alice Merton, Bastille, Beabadoobee, Calvin Harris, Caribou, Dua Lipa, Folamour, Fontaines D.C, Jon Hopkins, Jungle, Justin Bieber, Kings of Leon, Lewis Capaldi, Nina Kraviz, Princess Nokia, Remi Wolf, Rüfüs du Sol, Sam Fender, Steve Aoki, Sigrid, slowthai, Stromae, Solardo, Tame Impala, and many more. A total of 488 performers from 54 countries were part of Sziget 2022.

Aside from multiple genres of music, performed on multiple stages across the festival site, visitors were treated to a huge selection of theater, panel talks, art workshops and exhibitions, and more, offering something for all ages.

Guests attended Sziget 2022 from 103 countries. The festival offered VIP tickets for the first time in its history – this year marked the 28th edition – and “VIP tickets were sold out on most nights proving this a successful new addition to the festival,” according to a press release from the promoters.
