Coldplay Announces 2023 European Stadiums
Coldplay announced further dates for their “Music of the Spheres” stadium tour today, Aug. 22, the morning after completing a sold out six-night run at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
In 2023, the tour will visit Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands, for the first time, alongside UK shows in Manchester and Cardiff.
Since “Music of the Spheres” kicked off in Costa Rica in March 2022, more than four million tickets have been sold for dates in Latin America, North America and Europe. It’s no surprise that Coldplay is currently leading Pollstar’s LIVE75.

The first European leg of the tour has been a total success. Some highlights from the Pollstar box office show four sold-out nights at Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France, July 16-20, where the band sold a total of 318,331 tickets for a $28,035,164 gross.
Coldplay also sold 216,535 tickets at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, July 10-13, grossing $20,389,783, and 138,282 tickets at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, July 2-5, grossing $13,745,935, both in Germany.
With “Music of the Spheres” Coldplay aims to redefine the possibilities of sustainable touring, including a show powered by 100% renewable energy in almost all locations; the world’s first touring battery system made from 40 BMW electric car batteries; power bikes and kinetic dance floors allowing fans to help power the show; solar panels and wind turbines at every venue; a pledge to cut tour emissions by 50%; incentives to encourage fans to travel by green transport; and one tree planted for every ticket sold.
Pollstar was all over Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” tour in our Oct. 18, 2021, cover story. Further shows for south-east Asia and North America will be announced soon.
Tickets for the new 2023 European and UK shows, full list below, go on sale Thursday, Aug. 25.
