JINJER Returns To North America With P.O.D., Exemption From Ukrainian Culture Ministry
Ukrainian metalcore stalwarts JINJER return to North America, after being forced to cancel its previously scheduled tour with Slipknot because of the war in Ukraine, for a fall trek with P.O.D. in support that launches Oct. 31 in San Diego and winds down Dec. 22 in Los Angeles.
In addition to P.O.D., the band will be joined on the road by American metal stars Vended on Oct. 31-Nov. 23 dates, British rockers Malevolence (Dec. 7-22) and fellow Ukranians Space of Variations (full tour). The tour is produced by Live Nation and tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers will have presale access beginning Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. EDT until Thursday, Aug. 25 at 10 p.m. local time through the Citi Entertainment website.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Culture granted JINJER a special exemption to exit Ukraine for the tour, and the band will raise funds for their countrymen by releasing two special edition T-shirts, a stylized “Peace” edition and a “We Want Our Home Back” tee that can be viewed and purchased here.
Prior to its own headlining tour, JINJER is also making American appearances Sept. 23 at Louder Than Life Festival at Highland Festival Grounds At The Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, and Oct. 9 at Aftershock, at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California.
Over the last three years, JINJER has averaged 903 tickets sold for a gross of $23,224 as reported to Pollstar.
