The UK’s trade body for the live entertainment business LIVE announced the launch of a new ceremony “to celebrate outstanding individuals and companies across the UK’s world leading live music sector.”

LIVE wants to “celebrate the highs of the year and toast the endurance of the sector, which has recently weathered the dual battles of Brexit and COVID.”

Categories, which range from best Independent Booking Agency to Grassroots Champion (full list of categories below), will be open to all across the UK industry and will “celebrate classical alongside grime, production heroes alongside promoters.”

The ceremony will take place in December, serving as an end-of-year celebration for all of those responsible for stages, venues and festivals across the UK. It will be an annual event, and span a range of achievements including sustainability credentials, marketing prowess and regional performance.

The winners will be announced Dec. 13, at The Brewery in London. Judged by a panel of industry professionals, the awards will be presented in front of an invited industry audience, with hundreds expected to attend.
