Modest Mouse Celebrates 25 Years Of ‘The Lonesome Crowded West’ With Upcoming Tour
Modest Mouse released their album The Lonesome Crowded West 25 years ago, and the band is now celebrating the album with a new tour. Set to begin at The Wilma in Missoula, Montana on Nov. 18, with shows in Seattle, Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Austin, Boston and more before wrapping up at New York City’s Terminal 5 on Dec. 17.
The upcoming tour dates will see Modest Mouse performing The Lonesome Crowded West in full, a first for the album. The lineup for the upcoming tour dates include original band members Isaac Brock and Jeremiah Green, as well as Russell Higbee and Simon O’Connor.
Vinyl reissues of The Lonesome Crowded West will also be released as an add-on fans can select while purchasing tickets for the upcoming tour dates. Copies of the album will also be made available for purchase at the upcoming shows. The band’s most recent studio album, The Golden Casket, arrived in June.
The band has been out on tour throughout the summer, with the band performing throughout Europe with performances at Mad Cool Festival in Madrid, Lollapalooza Paris, Lollapalooza Stockholm and more. Prior to their European leg, the band performed in North America, with their June 9 show at The Strand in Providence, Rhode Island grossing $71,571 and their May 27 show at Lewiston, New York’s Artwork Amphitheater grossing $133,771, according to reports submitted to Pollstar‘s Boxoffice.
Presale tickets for the tour are currently onsite, while general onsale begins at 10 a.m. local.
