The band, formed by childhood friends in Akron, Ohio, known for authentic blues rock that has achieved mainstream success, most recently released Dropout Boogie, on May 13, from Auerbach’s own Easy Eye Studio in Nashville. The original LP, featuring ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons on one track, follows up the band’s 2021 LP Delta Kream of hill country blues covers.
Both Carney and Auerbach have been active producing records from Nashville for artists including Yola, Marcus King and more.
The Black Keys are managed by Irving Azoff and Steve Moir at Full Stop Management.
